I never had the good fortune to meet Charles face-to-face, but I feel I got to know him well over a number of years of phone chats and emails. I never felt like I was talking to a headhunter; instead I always felt I was talking with a good friend. He always had time to chat and share stories about family and nonwork life. Charles brought such a refreshing, personal sense of caring and interest in each individual he met. He was a very special man and I will miss him in the Progress community. When I heard the news of his death, I had a good cry and remembered that tomorrow is promised to none of us. I will hold his wife Maria and daughter Katie in my thoughts during the coming weeks and months.
